Exercise VII – Activity Tracking January 2025 Results

My monthly goals for January were:

  • Every morning brush my teeth, and every evening practice gratitudes. (Completed)
  • Design and create a C program of any kind that can write to a file. (Not Completed)
  • Maintain accuracy of documenting activities, to continue to hone in on a baseline activity level. (Completed)

In December 2024 : 182 significant actions (+52 from Nov)

Results for January 2025 : 212 significant actions (+30 from Dec)

Based on my experience this month, I am pleased to see my activity level continuing to improve. In the next few months if we continue to see the activity increase taper off, then I will have found a baseline to work from. So far this has been an excellent intervention in self-care, which has allowed me to take pride in increasing activity levels, demonstrate progress that would normally have seemed imperceptible across months, and kept me aware of where to focus my efforts to continue to learn how to care for myself.

My goals for February will challenge me further, incorporating two very difficult tasks (job searching and coding practice). The goal is that by addressing these major tasks, I will both improve my self-development practice, while also dramatically benefiting my mental health, which I expect suffers from expectations not addressed by the regular completion of these activities. I anticipate this goal to be the hardest to achieve so far, and therefore must be understanding if the daily activity levels drop accordingly. Also, to address the increased focus and executive function requirements for this task, this goal will ONLY be addressed on days when I take Vyvanse, in order to bring the full force of my abilities to bear.

In ADDITION to the challenging goals of job hunting and coding practice, I am attempting to tackle laundry 3x a week and practice meditation more regularly as well. Addressing these goals will be helpful on days when I do not take Vyvanse, and also raise baseline activity levels as well.

February marks a major step up in challenge compared to the previous 3 months, With 4 separate goals in motion. Based on the last 3 months of sustained activity increase I feel that I am up for the challenge. Completing these goals successfully will be extremely rewarding, and failing to complete them will provide further insight into what’s working well and what still requires improvement.

Best of luck to me!
