Starting the new job has been a major adjustment. The past few weeks have been filled with job related stuff, and job related thoughts with it. In April every activity category was reduced, so I guess we’ve finally found that wall I’ve been longing to hit for a while now.
With that in mind, I’d like to remain prioritized on work this next month, while adding in some useful goals and contemplating where I’d like the Activity Tracking Project to lead in the near future.
Seeing peak performance in the rearview, I want the theme of May to be “Grace”. Whether its getting up early, handling unexpected challenges to routine, or dealing with expectations, I want my primary focus to be on handling these things “gracefully.” I’m not quite sure what that means but it should cue me in the right direction.
Additionally, I want to lean in towards mindfulness. In April I identified a few things that might help with meditation, and I want to start doing those things in May. Specifically:
- walking meditation, eyes open, feeling the present
- using the waking up app’s guided meditation feature
- investigating new types of meditation and trying them out
All in all, I feel very successful.
